Laboratory

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN LABORATORY
CAD stands for Computer Aided Design. CAD is used to design, develop and optimize products. While it is very versatile, CAD is extensively used in the design of tools and equipment required in the manufacturing process as well as in the construction domain. CAD enables design engineers to layout and to develop their work on a computer screen, print and save it for future editing. In Civil department High-end computer facilities and licensed CAD software’s are available to students.
ADVANCED STRUCTURAL LABORATORY - PG
The objective of structural analysis laboratory is to determine the forces, stresses, deflections and behaviour of various structural members like beams, columns, arches, trusses and frames when subjected to different types of loadings. Advanced structural laboratory was established with state of art facilities with NDT and advanced equipment’s especially for research and post graduate programmes. The major equipment are Proceq make original Schmidt concrete test hammer (type N), Pundit Lab + Ultrasonic Testing Instrument, Concrete Mixer (Pan type, 40 litre capacity), Concrete Permeability test apparatus with compressor (20kg/cm2), Longitudinal Compressor meter (Digital), Digital compressor testing machine 300T, Lateral Extensometer – Digital, Steam curing tank with 6 cubes of 150mm capacity with compressor, Rapid chloride penetration test, etc.
