Notable projects include Urban Flood Monitoring and Management in Bangalore City using Remote Sensing and GIS sponsored by ISRO, Lateral Stress Confinement of Stabilised Coir Blocks supported by VGST, and a bilateral DST project with the Uzbekistan Government on the development of high molecular weight surfactants to improve the technological properties of disperse systems. These initiatives demonstrate the department’s ability to work across domains, from disaster management and smart city solutions to sustainable materials and collaborative international research.
