As per the dimensions provided by SVCE, the basketball court measures 94 by 50 feet (28.7 by 15.2 meters), with the ground facilities readily available for practice and competitions. To ensure smooth conduct of matches, SVCE provides essential equipment such as basketballs, player jerseys, and ring nets. The game is organized by following standard basketball rules, giving students a professional sporting experience.

SVCE basketball team proudly participated in the North Zone Tournament, showcasing great teamwork and sportsmanship. VOLLEYBALL

Volleyball is one of the most popular team sports in the college, encouraging teamwork, agility, and coordination among players. As per the dimensions provided by SVCE, the volleyball court is regulated at 59 feet (18 meters) in length and 29.5 feet (9 meters) in width, ensuring standard playing conditions. To support smooth gameplay, SVCE provides the required equipment such as volleyballs, nets, and player jerseys. Matches are conducted as per standard volleyball rules, allowing students to experience a professional competitive environment. Volleyball has always received enthusiastic participation and remains a highlight of annual sports activities.

SVCE volleyball team actively participated in the North Zonal tournaments. The team achieved remarkable success by becoming winners at the zonal level twice, in 2021–2022 and 2023–2024. Adding to this glory, SVCE emerged as the state-level tournament winner at BMSCE, Basavanagudi, securing first place. These achievements not only brought recognition to the players but also enhanced the prestige of the college.

TENNIS

Tennis is a dynamic sport that combines agility, precision, and endurance, making it one of the most popular racquet games worldwide. At SVCE, matches are conducted on a standard court measuring 23.77 meters in length and 8.23 meters in width for singles (10.97 meters for doubles), with a net height of 1.07 meters at the posts and 0.914 meters at the center. The college provides essential facilities including well-maintained courts, professional-grade racquets, tennis balls, and player kits to ensure smooth conduct of practice sessions and competitions.

Over the years,Tennis has steadily grown in popularity at SVCE, becoming a highlight in the annual sports calendar. Notably, SVCE players have represented the institution at VTU-level and intercollegiate tournaments, gaining valuable exposure and showcasing their talent, determination, and competitive spirit.

KABADDI

Kabaddi is one of the most traditional and dynamic sports played in the college, showcasing strength, agility, and teamwork. As per the dimensions provided by SVCE, the kabaddi court measures 10 by 13 meters (33 × 43 feet), providing a standard playing ground. Each team consists of 12 members, with 7 players actively participating on the court at a time. To ensure safety and uniformity, SVCE provides the necessary equipment such as jerseys and safety kits for all players.

The matches are conducted as per official kabaddi rules, offering students an authentic and competitive experience. SVCE kabaddi team proudly participated in the North Zone tournaments, representing the college with commitment and teamwork. BADMINTON

Badminton is a highly energetic and skilful sport that has gained immense popularity among students of the college. As per the dimensions provided by SVCE, the badminton court measures 13.4 meters in length and 6.10 meters in width, ensuring standard playing conditions. To facilitate smooth conduct of the game, SVCE provides all necessary equipment including Badminton Rackets, Shuttlecocks, Badminton Net, Badminton Court, Jerseys. Matches are played following official badminton rules, offering players a professional and competitive experience.

CHESS

Chess is one of the most intellectual and strategic indoor games played in the college, encouraging deep thinking and concentration among students. The standard chess board consists of 64 squares arranged in an 8 × 8 grid, with alternating black and white squares. Matches are conducted following the official rules of chess, ensuring fairness and a competitive environment. To facilitate the game, SVCE provides the required equipment such as chess boards and pieces. Chess has always drawn enthusiastic participation from students who enjoy testing their analytical and decision-making skills. It is a highlight of indoor sports activities, promoting patience, planning, and problem-solving. Over the years, chess tournaments have been organized regularly on campus to encourage budding players. Students have also actively represented the college in intercollegiate and zonal competitions.
