Dr Shrishail Kakkeri obtained his under graduate degree from Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology in 1990. Post-graduation from University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering in 1994 and Doctoral degree in the filed of Plasticity in the year 2011 from Vivesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. He has a blend of Industrial and teaching experience of 28 years. He has authored two text books and he is the Board of studies member of various autonomous institutions in VTU. He has served as special officer for examinations in the Karnataka’s largest technological university VTU. He has served Board of Examination member in the Mechanical Engineering section for two years at VTU.
He has taken the lead of setting up a Biofuel Research and Development unit at Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering. Worked in the field of Alternate fuels for I C Engines. Worked on various oils like Spent Coffee Powder oil, Simarouba, Honge, Jathropa, Neem and Alcohols. Published more than 50 Technical Papers in various National / International Conferences / Seminars / Journals. 5 IPRs have been filed and they are published in Indian patent journal. Responsible for preparing & getting sanctioned projects from Ministry of Small Micro and Medium enterprises, AICTE, KSCST, KSBDB and other bodies. Delivered lectures on Intellectual Property Rights at various programmes. He has mentored institutions in the process of Accreditation.

(ii) Best Researcher Award, IJRULA – RULA International Awards 2018.
iii) Best Research Paper Award, By KSTA In 2018.
(iv) Research Excellence Award, By Science Father Group in 2020.
