The Department established Research Centre in the academic year 2016-17 and it is approved by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and Karnataka. Presently 07 research scholars are pursuing Ph.D. under the research centre. The Department has published two patents in the academic year 2017 – 18 along with students. Department has received total grants of Rs.50,03,000 /- from ISRO, AICTE, KSCST, VGST and VTU during the last five Academic Years. Department has established Centre of excellence in BIM & Infrastructure Engineering Software. The Department is well equipped with state of art facilities to meet the requirements of research.
